The Martins Funeral Directors has presented a second community grant through The Martins Community Fund, this time supporting Horsham Matters, a local charity providing vital assistance to individuals and families facing financial hardship.
Horsham Matters offers practical support to people experiencing challenges such as illness, an inability to work, or the ongoing pressures of the cost-of-living crisis. Through its food bank and community services, the charity helps ensure local people can access essential support when they need it most.
The grant was presented by the Martins team, who were pleased to learn more about the organisation’s impact across the local community.
Looking ahead, Funeral Arranger Lucy and her colleagues plan to spend time volunteering with Horsham Matters in the new year, helping to serve food and support the charity’s work first-hand.
The visit also opened the door to further community engagement opportunities. Horsham Matters is currently developing a podcast series and has invited the local team to take part in a future episode to discuss the funeral profession, community support, and the role The Martins Funeral Directors plays in serving families across the area.
The Martins Community Fund was established to support organisations making a positive difference in their communities. Horsham Matters is the Fund’s second recipient, and the team looks forward to seeing how the grant helps the charity continue its valuable work
